[Kids Creative Lab: Atelier BAUHAUS] —
I heard there’s a Takoyaki Star! I wonder what kind of creatures live there?—
The theme for Saturday, May 9, was “stars.” We started by watching videos of
stars and the universe and talking about stars together.
Apparently, there are stars out there with names like “Takoyaki Star.” As we talked about
this,
we let our imaginations run wild—
wondering what other names stars might have and what kinds of
creatures might live there—and each of us created our own star.
We designed this program with the goal of using the theme of “stars” to spark the children’s imagination and encourage them to bring their ideas to life.
We encountered all kinds of planets—from a “Robot Planet” to a hot spring where visitors from outer space stop to relax. The children thought very carefully as they worked, combining
various materials and experimenting with different ways to shape them.
As you gain more and more experience,
your desire
to “do it” and the skills to “do it” will grow rapidly.
I hope I’ve been able to provide you with a good starting point.
