◆どんな作品ですか？Can you explain your work?◆
「Red In Bed　（あかちゃんはベッドのなか）」は、風邪をひいて寝込んでいる「あかちゃん」の代わりに、色のおともだちがいろぬりをするおはなしです。
色のおともだちをタップすると音が鳴り、まるで楽器のような楽しみ方もできます。
子どもたちが物語に夢中になる絶妙なイントラクションは必見です！
The colors of the rainbow wake up and get out of bed to color the world, except for Red who feels sick. The other colors help Red out and color the normally red objects themselves.Children can help the colors color the world and help Red restore everything to normality in the end!

◆作品を作るきっかけはありましたか？
Why did you decide to make the book?◆
当時2歳の娘にたくさんの絵本を読み聞かせていくうちに、「色」を主人公にした絵本をつくろうと思うようになりました。
My daughter was two and I was telling her a lot of stories. I had the idea that colors could be characters, and thought that would be the basis for a children’s book. Once, I had the basic idea for a story, I realized that it lent itself to being an app.

◆作品を作る Making of the app◆
最初は、絵画の様な絵本にしようと思い、長い時間をかけて水彩画を描きました。けれども、イメージしていたものと少し違っていたので、携帯カメラでコンクリートの写真を撮ることにしました。
コンクリートの表面が写った写真を使って、作品に登場するほとんどの絵を作りました。作品に登場するキャラクターや背景をよく見ていると、コンクリートのような模様が見えます！
I thought it should be painterly, and spent some time making water color textures, but it wasn’t looking right. So I moved to a technique of photographing textures with my phone, mainly concrete – and using that to give texture to the different objects.
